Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer and Portugália Airlines, a subsidiary of the TAP Group, have signed a new agreement covering component support services for the airline’s E-Jets fleet.
Announced on October 15, 2026, the agreement will provide support through Embraer’s Component Pool Program for a total of 19 aircraft operated under the TAP Express brand, including 12 Embraer E190s and seven Embraer E195s.
The program covers more than 300 aircraft components across various E-Jets systems, offering component exchange, repair, and overhaul services. The agreement aims to improve aircraft availability, streamline maintenance processes, and reduce spare parts inventory costs.
Portugália Airlines Managing Director Mário Lobato de Faria stated that the airline had benefited from Embraer’s component support program for many years and decided to return to Embraer following a brief period with an alternative supplier.
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, said the agreement further strengthens the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
Portugal-based Portugália Airlines has been part of the TAP Group since 2007. Operating exclusively for TAP Air Portugal under an Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) arrangement, the airline accounts for approximately 25% of the group’s total flights.
With a fleet of 19 aircraft, Portugália Airlines operates flights to various destinations across Europe, including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom, as well as Morocco in North Africa.
